There's absolutely nothing in the Techcrunch article that would suggest this company is doing anything so technologically complex that it can't be easily duplicated. They even admitted they have no concrete plan (or proof) they can monetiz

I tend to agree. SEO is a disease that makes Google lots of money, but is destroying the ability to find anything. Keywords simply do not work anymore. I have a feeling that there are probably 5-10 startups out there working on this and

Running the whole company as a startup isn't going to work. But what might work is to build several skunkworks projects within the company with their own CEO's. And if the projects are successful to run the companies as subsidiaries and of

The things you have mentioned are rather trivial in the overall picture and really not a good enough reason to support IE7 but not IE6. The JavaScript engines are nearly identical and the broad set of technologies are the same. For example

As far as I can tell there's no reason to get rid of IE6 unless you're going to also eliminate IE 7 and 8. Aside from CSS differences they are largely equivalent. Even IE9 doesn't support websockets or even half the HTML5 features of any

Without autoplay you cannot build a web based app that has audible dings for things like alerts or any sort of JavaScript music player or game. I'm okay with a web browser having the option of disabling audio though.

The proper way to address this is to add code to your site (or fix safari) to enable a text-zoom gesture. That way you'd have complete control.
