This actually happened to me, albeit more like 2.5x instead of 10x. I was told it was easier to take it out of my future salary, so that is what was done. The most annoying thing was trying to work out what I'd be paid the third month

Wow, I didn’t realise it changed. What a horrible situation where a whole year group are reliant on their teachers’ opinion of them and the success of other kids at the same school the previous year. Neither of which these children have any

I'm no economist, but wouldn't this lead to greater wealth disparity? When money leaks out, it leaks in to somewhere else. Sort of like connecting bodies of water will lower the water level of one body and raise it in another. One

As an alternative to Terraform, we've had great experience using Pulumi for exactly this stack. Writing Pulumi config in Python like the rest of our code has been great.

If a company chooses to spend their marketing budget in creating quality content then I don’t see a problem with it. There’s an obvious bias towards their software, but it’s on their website so that is clear, and the project is interesting

> Each message session with each contact is encrypted with a different set of keys" Is this not a bad thing? Since transferring key-pairs is the weakest link on these apps. To be really secure, wouldn't you want to do this as i

The apps have also augmented the iOS platform over those 8 years. An Apple device is better thanks to the apps on it, so they sell more devices. They are double dipping when they benefit from App Store revenues + Developer program fees.

Thanks for sharing your manylinux wheels setup. Will the python packages just link the musl libc instead of glibc? If that's all that is needed then it makes me wonder why pip is only downloading wheels on glibc distros currently.
