Unfortunately I agree with the doomsayers. Things are gonna get a lot worse before they possibly get better. Possibly.

Someone forgot who was in charge that handed out all the cash in 2020. . . It's pretty easy to see how we have inflation given they gave out all those impossible to trace ppp loans to their friends and family.

While I agree that folks tend to doubt themselves and it holds them back, I would caution against holding that against them though (I know you didn't say it explicitly, but it feels that way when you say "their own thinking")

You can actually access the real stuff on shonen jump's app, as long as you get the Japanese version of it. Lot's of free stuff on it too.

You raise a good point that we could really reverse inflation by actually closing tax loopholes and reabsorbing the excess we printed and gave out to the 1%. . . but like you said, never going to happen unfortunately.

To be honest I kind of doubt there's a large enough amount of said folks that this would be worth doing (do you have a source beyond "large numbers"?). Besides, even disabled need a place to live, and they are probably contri

Property is tough in general. For most, they're coming into a game of monopoly that has realistically already ended. While I feel for those who "own" not wanting things to change, I feel more for those relegated to go around

I mean, fracking shouldn't be allowed. I live in Arizona, and the electric companies here make it hell for solar owners. I don't understand it.

It's terrible, but on the other hand I wish my parents / step parents had been courageous enough to do it rather than cowardly trying to make my life hell instead.

I wouldn't be surprised if when you look into it, that's propaganda. It's very similar to the defunding claims.

On the other hand, perhaps that would have gotten us to reconsider the forever war that killed so many and wasted so much money for no reason?

I mean, most companies already have salary ranges (they're just invisible to employees). So the process of promoting to a new "band" or "position" would stay the same. That and companies can adjust their ranges, t

I mean, walk away to where? Everything needs context or it's hard to answer why. It could be a matter of needing insurance, obligations to taking care of family members, to cost of living, to lack of knowledge of where is better. By

I think this is too cynical, yes. To me, this is just the free market. If folks can see Bob gets paid way more and see he doesn't do anything, they can leave. Right now they just keep trucking with blinders on. The thing is, even if

On the other hand, I actually always see folks claim the downsides are greater than the upsides, so it's strange you feel the opposite. Honestly, I'd rather we try it and see what happens. In the case of the UK public sector anecd

Agreed. The future for the masses is "freedom" to be a wage slave to whatever corporation provides a "job". It's weird how dystopian fiction seemed outlandish to me around 10 years ago, but now seems pretty on tar

That is a massive budget, at least where I live (Southwest). You can get a nice place here, as long as you spend > 700k. Below that it definitely is trash heaps.

There's just too many folks here who'd rather make a quick buck then provide some longevity to the nation (at the top and in politics). China and other nations realize that there is more money and happiness in the long term view,

What in the world do you mean by the communism/collectivism thing? This was a move by the Trump administration, was it not? And especially the "no ability to track" part of the handout to big business.
