Clojure is a "consenting adults" programming language the same as Arc, and IMO has a whole lot more to offer. (sorry, PG)

I really, really disagree with your ideas. This isn't "politics". Sure, the Chinese are playing politics by publishing this, but this information is quite valuable, and it should not be viewed as political trickery. These are things most A

I was quite surprised the other day when someone committing to one of my projects mentioned that they had contacted you about a !clojure search option that does syntax search "better". As a developer, your accessibility is something I value

I think it helps solidify the brand. Makes it seem more like a services company that won't go away over night. Not a bad idea. Hell, just offer an extremely tiny "DuckMail" beta with 8 users and never take it public -- it's the thought th

I disagree. You can search DDG with !scala {}{}{}{}{syntax-laden thing}{}{}{}{} and get results. Google doesn't really have anything that compares to language-specific search functionality. The 60-70% of things I don't find on DDG immedia

Ugh. I wish this myth would go away. I've encountered so many people that have heard of this and have no idea how credible it is.

Forgive my ignorance. But could anyone link to or provide a brief summary of what the general process is here? I'm not familiar with writing specifications, etc. Any information explaining the process would be appreciated.

This is a tiny technical issue and isn't worth reading about. Long story short -- they need to paint the turbine black or use a tiny bit of energy to heat the fluid.

A great presentation. If you're thinking about trying this here Clojure thing, take out your wallet and pick up chouser and fogus' Joy of Clojure from MEAP right now. It's the most complete of its kind by a long shot.

Amen. I was irked by the "purity" factor as well. Adam's (ato's) response in the comments is dead on: "I needed an Atomic counter. Java has one. I used it." One of the biggest draws of Clojure is that it runs on the JVM so you get acces
