http://github.com/danlarkin/madison is another interesting project. I believe the intent is to port Django to Clojure.

To those who are wondering, the reference to mtfnpy means: "mtfnpy totally fucking now pwns you". Traveling to mtfnpy.com in your browser will send you back to google. Does anyone have any information on what this is all about? It almost

I re-read this after the fact and it comes off as being particularly arrogant/ivory tower nerd-ish. I was just trying to demonstrate to 90% of the population my system is unusable. I work in IT and everyone at work thinks it's disgusting.

Yes, this is exactly right and is confirmed by nearly all of the research going on with regard to traffic and driving.

All good points, but one that is even more important while careening down a concrete road at 60mph: safety. By traveling at a slower speed and not changing lanes you are drastically reducing the odds of getting into an accident.

Travis, the research out there on traffic jams suggests that even by driving completely altruistically, you add mere minutes to your commute. You also avoid changing lanes and driving at faster speeds, both of which are linked with an incr

I take issue with your theories. The "payoffs" you allude to do not exist. Your "zipper-merge" costs you gas money, and if you took the time to watch the video, you'd realize that you are considered a "cheater". Cheaters feel better abou

I've been driving like this ever since I heard a show on Wisconsin Public Radio where they interviewed a traffic researcher. One thing that is not true, however, is that "cheaters" are always wrong. For instance, there is significant res

Bahaha! My XMonad setup is pretty crazy. On top of that, I've remapped a bunch of common keys like super, control, caps lock, and escape. I posted a cheat sheet by my monitor and people still refuse to even attempt to use the thing.

The reason people have all these passive aggressive solutions is because they feel kind of embarrassed that they have such an attachment to an inanimate object. It's like telling someone not to touch your baby. I know most people will clai

Okay one final comment for you: I think one of my chief issues with these sorts of apps is that after they are released to the public, the algorithms never change, and you see page after page of registered domains, which are completely unhe
