This article is completely mistaken. The original researchers did not solve Navier-Stokes, while OpenAI did. Ironically, this seems like the type of mistake you'd make if you used AI to do your research.

Isn’t that one of the most salient and straightforward argument against LLMs?

Yeah but the mathematicians are claiming that the key insight that made the problem tractable for AI in the first place, came from them.

Right direction to move in, but probably won’t do much. “Drug dealers are now required to give their customers the option to purchase salad instead of cocaine”.

I’m working on something like this! My issue is that using Pangram for it ends up being quite expensive.

I don’t get this take. There’s good reasons to have telemetry in any software. Doesn’t really have to do with whether it’s free or not. Of course, it’s also good to have the option to disable it.

Sometimes (I especially notice this on the App Store, but sometimes Google), companies bid on their own name. So you'll search something like "Discord" and the first result will be an ad for Discord, and then below is the o

Do you understand that LLMs are probabilistic? Ask a model the same question twice and you will get different results. So, how were you ever getting “the best result, always”?

Watermarking the outputs themselves is very different and much more effective compared to how tools like Pangram work. Obviously false positives will inevitably happen (even though, they are incredibly unlikely with SynthID), but even sti

I do not understand why people remain so up in arms. AI generated text being watermarked is universally good. What benefit is there to people believing that LLM text was actually human written?

Wtf? It’s putting its whole chain of thought in comment form, that’s insane. No wonder people can’t get Claude to stop commenting if this is what it does unrestricted.

If you’re going to vibecode a site, at least write the copy yourself. AI text is exhausting to read.
