I hear what you're saying. Sounds like in either case, someone has to take a stance, and hold the line. And such folks might not have individual profitability that involves going along with the group as the highest order. Shout out to

C'mon now. I'm not trying to judge you. But every action each individual takes compounds into collective action. If you think only groups and masses have significance, and individuals do not, then I'd be genuinely curious to

Appreciate you sharing insights. Hope you can reach your goals soon. In light of the manageable struggles, the image of you yelling at birds made me chuckle real good.

How long do you envision yourself doing this? What would be some nice-to-haves, and what would drastically increase your experience of living in a car? What are some unavoidable extremely difficult realities that come with this lifestyle?

"Everyone just wants to appear to do things - so the hard things don't get done because everyone is more focused on showing that they work instead of tackling the problems." I agree. Seems like an internal motivation thing. N

For me, on the same track, I'd have to go with Busta's verse when he's all "cuz it doesn't matter cuz I'm gonna da da da da" (I jest. I just really like that song's beat & Busta's verse in te

This isn't always the case, but I found that if I'm looking for a serious discussion, I gotta find the sub within the subreddit. For movies, there are a few that communicate they are about serious film discussion. But between the

These days, I'll happily not use a service/ product/ whatever if I have to pay for it. But YouTube Premium, ad free, is wonderful. I bought it for my parents because they watch a lot of niche stuff. But now that I have it, it

I'm gonna go ahead and just throw this out there: the principle of specificity. Like, if you wanna get good at cycling, running will help an aerobic base, but will not help in terms of generative force (vs load bearing), handles, situa

Reminds me of that anime from Shinichiro Watanabe: Carole & Tuesday. I just heard a remix of Jay-Z & Kanye's "Ni*as in Paris," with Biggie as Jay and 2pac as Ye. The AI voice-swap sounded 95-98% like Biggie & Pac.

Same. Only people in my field will know the title (and whether they care or not is another story). If I keep it to the broad job function that layfolks will understand, the topic usually quickly shifts to the next thing if it doesn't s

I gotta agree with this. If I'm waiting at 2am for a subway in NYC for 1 hr, versus waiting 6 hours for the first subway to kick back in if it's say, 12:01am in Japan or South Korea? Then IMHO it's better to just eat the cost

This might be a bad comparison. But I feel like Marvel movies (and TV shows) tried to scale, and lost it. And that there was a sweet-spot, where less was more. It's way to oversimplified, but I think they tried to churn out hits from a

Just to take the comment seriously, when I kick it with buddies, I seem to be naturally attuned and attentive to my bodily needs way more than when I get sucked into a very addicting videogame, where after I finally snap out of the fugue st

Same. I'll say, with no disrespect for those who prefer it, that when I was a kid and super into videogames, 60 fps seemed cool because it was new. But it always feels slightly hyperreal, kinda in that uncanny valley. 24 fps feels best
