Two thoughts: 1. The plaintiff exploited a loophole in the Indiana small claims rule regarding "res judicata," which normally acts to prevent a party from re-litigating a decided matter. [The rule states]( http://www.in.

I've thought about this problem pretty extensively (as a lawyer and software developer). My question is who are you selling this to? If it's just attorneys, that's fine. But if you want courts to adopt it, you will be competi

So doesn't this extend to "services" like Magic, which are just another layer of abstraction from the core product/service? I've personally never understood Magic. Looking at their homepage, none of those use cases

They've never built a 6-style model with a 4" screen. Seems more like a case of just taking the old chassis and upgrading a few components. Not that I'm complaining, but in a perfect world, it should match the design language

I'm familiar with the company and believe they use Amazon's Mechanical Turk. There's a hard cap on the number of messages per month, so that ensures they stay profitable.

The objectives of office communication are usually either (1) spreading awareness (of ideas, news, task updates...) or (2) making records. For example, an in-person meeting spreads awareness, and writing minutes creates the records. But not

We buy almost everything for the house online, but I can't imagine buying a mattress online. Is it annoying to buy in-store? Yes. But a mattress is an expensive, once-every-8-year purchase that you will use almost every day and is crit

I have to admit that I always assumed Stubhub took some kind of ownership interest in the tickets either (1) once posted; or (2) once sold through Stubhub. Situations like this make it clear why it's in their interest not to do so.

Try NFL Redzone, that's a great experience. No commercials, just cutting from game to game and showing the action. I had it the past few years but didn't get it this year (due to frustrating bundling issues), and I agree that watc

There should not be any communication between the lawyers and investors, and that rule should be enshrined in the ABA Code of Conduct in the same way that ethical walls are a requirement. If the client wants to manage the relationship with

Convicting someone of a crime requires proving all of the elements. Most crimes require a culpable state of mind (or mens rea). So the issue would be whether an individual has the requisite mens rea (recklessly, knowingly, etc.) These are v
