So just cache it and then have it be processed once every minute or whatever.

So the complaint about TikTok isn't about anything that's actually happening, just a hypothesis?

I've never been much a fan of Node for backends though. There's no framework that's as feature packed as, for example, Laravel on PHP. And you have to worry about leaking state/memory across requests.

Why would you need to do this? It's not like creating tables with columns is a time consuming endeavour

I think you actually could fix this forward by using named arguments instead of positional ones?

"It rarely buffers or fails to load" this is because the next 6 or so videos are known and buffered ahead of time. This isn't really the case on other sites.

The $599 model is for a basic user who barely does anything more than browse the web and send emails (which is to say, a lot of people). It's not a pro machine.

The Mini-LED screen is not great though. Sometimes I actually miss LCD. The brightness isn't uniform (it vignettes towards the edge), and you get lighting artefacts when quickly switching from a black screen (eg switching tabs).

That is generally how chips go year-over-year. The Intel MacBook Pros were never that dramatic a leap either.

If I remember right the first MacBook Pro with a touch bar wasn't announced at an event either, which you'd think they'd want to demo in person.

I've had my chip-and-pin debit card stolen and used many times, never once had a fraudulent transaction refused a refund. And it always is resolved in less than a day.

In the UK. That doesn't exist here... nowhere would require a credit card over a debit card.

I'm in the UK, fraud is perfectly covered for debit cards.

I'm 30 and never had a credit card. Always felt like an extra layer of complication I don't need. I have enough money, I'd prefer to directly spend it. With a credit card there'd always be a nagging feeling some payment

No manager would approve requests for 46 weeks in the first place so this hypothesis is irrelevant.

Yeah I remember this because you would sometimes get in a weird situation where it would fail to process the CSS, so you'd get text in Times New Roman

For most platforms this is true, but not Apple TV. I don't think they even allow it. iPlayer is definitely native code.

You've always been able to request flexible working. Yes the company can say no, but they need to assess the request and provide a specific reasoning why they can't accept it, they can't just dismiss it out of hand.
