"If the new inbox isn't quite your style, you can simply switch off all optional tabs to go back to classic view, or switch to any of your other favorite inbox types." If this new Gmail feature doesn't suit you, you can TURN IT OFF.

Also add WhatsApp, Line, KakaoTalk, Viber, Kik. Google is getting clobbered in the messaging space by these apps. If Google thinks they can move faster by dropping XMPP support, I'm fine with it. Imagine if Google sticks with XMPP and conti

How about try Lyft first? Once you try it, then you can have an informed opinion.

It's sad that your ignorant comment is at the top of this thread.

Add his argument on Podcast. Google discontinued the Listen app and not Podcast standard itself. He listed these things to justify his arguments but almost none of them hold any water.

I like Glass but I find the skit pretty hilarious. It's nice that Google Glass gets the pop culture treatment. IPhone has been featured on SNL several times but never for Android.

How do you imagine Glass would look like? Also keep in mind that it should be technically possible. Contact lens should be best but right now, that technology doesn't exists.

Have you been reading Hacker News? People complain here all the time about Google getting access to your personal data.

Actually, it's more of sharing. Look at the promotional videos. Even the Google IO demo last year. It's sharing what the wearer sees to his circle or to the public. Of the main menu choices in Glass, 3 are for sharing "Photo, Video and Hang

Having been part of a User Study since last year, what you think of Glass is very different from mine having used the product. It was never a distraction at all but more of an assistive device. Smartphone for me is way more distracting.

The difference though is Glass being real-time. Imagine Glass being used by a golfer. No need for a golf tracker device. You can easily see how far you are from the hole, wind speed, etc. Imagine Glass being outfitted into the helmet. Watch

Trust is one of the most important aspects of cofounders. With such a short time, how do you know if you can trust him or vice-versa? Trust is something that can only be built over time.

Personally, I don't view Google Glass a fashion statement. It's a tool for me. Like my computer or camera. Same with my phone.

I actually do not have any idea if Glass will flop or not. Personally, I'd only wear it indoors for the meantime. Maybe when I'm climbing or biking too. I'm part of a Glass User Study since last year. Google is very careful to not make it a

How is putting your cellphone/Segway away different than putting your Glass away? When would you know if the public is ready for wearables without releasing a product? If Google sells hundred of thousands of these, the public is ready.

No. But it's different when you resort to name-calling just because of something a person wears or what a person looks like. Call people douchebag for their actions.

Man, so much hate for this device that the poster probably have never seen or used in person. A douchebag will be a douchebag with or without Glass. But in my book, douchebags are people who call other people douchebags for no good reason.

I could pick out misinformation for every word in your reply. Pretty much every product you said have not evolved is continually improving. You know I say that? Because I USE them. I'm 100% sure you have not spent time using these products.

I'm a bit speechless with this post. I have seen overreaction from people when Google shut down Reader. I told myself that the craziest of those overreactions would be for somebody to quit all of Google's services. Then I saw this article a
