My best buddy works at Google. We talk a lot. People are in fear due to ChatGPT and the lack of a cohesive plan to get Google to be competitive. Putting lots of hours on a failed strategy makes no sense, and as long as Sundar is leading the

Sundar Pichai's answers to this point have been knee jerk and uncoordinated. Under the current leadership, Google won't have the ability to leverage its strengths. The fall could be quick, which would be a shame considering Google

Proving that was impossible during Covid because, well, you couldn't control for Covid and the lockdowns! Normal remote work outside of Covid is nothing like remote work with kids screaming around the house (while homeschooling them),

Looks will always help - and I'm also literally saying that with my argument by stating that I had a harder time than my buddies because of average looks. I'm also saying that you can very significantly tilt the odds on your f

I suppose that there is no objective way to measure that, and we won't arrive at a conclusion by just talking about it. Maybe I could go use one of those sites where you post a picture and people rate you? You are right that I'm p

I'm in my 40s. Well, I'm not saying I'm unattractive, just that I won't stand out in a crowd. I'm the average guy. I'm healthy, not overweight, I shave regularly and wear Tommy Hilfiger instead of Target (altho

True, but what I'm saying is that the same overall approach - at least in my case - worked well in the US, even though things were harder at first (some tweaks were needed indeed). I bet things would be different in India or Saudi Arab

Has this person ever lived in the US? I had to take a pretty demanding law test with a 90% passing grade, a parking test and a street driving test when I got my US driving license.

And I'll add my own anecdote: the top performers on the 100+ software engineer org I work in are either fully remote or mostly remote. Losing our fully remote people would be catastrophic to the team. Collaboration with them is extreme
