As I get very close to 50, I actually feel smarter. Reasoning on hard things come easier. I can approach problems I found too hard in the past, sometimes even being embarrassed of my previous dumber self. I'm in good health but I do have less energy, like a higher horsepower engine with a smaller tank. I don't have a problem with the tradeoff...
