Now that comes across as some perfect utopia. Maybe certain people don't want to stick their neck out in fear of losing job, which is not possible since they have to support a family. Etc. You live in a hypothetical dream world.

You are changing the goal posts. On an individual level that might all be fine 'in a perfect world', but moving somewhere else, improving ones skills, not a given at all. You sound bitter and lack empathy.

It's not about perfection, quite a misnomer of an argument imo. You would be the kind of person that 100 years ago would probably be against woman getting the vote - "It's not about equality, that's not real life"

Unionizing is not lame. It's about a balance of power between owners and workers.

The very fact that pine64 exists at all is amazing. The amount of negativity regarding software support is just expecting too much from this company in its infancy. No it's not Apple. No it's not Samsung. But at some point... A fe

Sending telemetry data at all without real consent (ie not some ultimatum) is scary. Windows is not a daily driver OS.

Agreed. Just lazy analytics by using buzzwords. The TikTok generation... I'm clearly late to the party as a Millennial.

Yep. Ironically I felt he turned into the very thing he was uncovering. Towards the end of 2021 he made this promise to donate X dollars to a charity if he reached a million subs. It came across as pretty disingenuous.

I've followed Coffeezilla for a while. I was doing an AI course from another youtuber named Siraj Raval in 2019. The course ended up being totally amateur and full of empty promises. Mr Zilla did a video about it: https://w

Don't forget his Epstein connection. Hence he got dumped like rock by his (ex) wife. I despise the fascination with billionaires. Especially outside of their domain that made them wealthy. Gates with public health and Elon with politic

I'm personally invested in the (neo)vim universe. Plenty of people bemoan the fact that there is a learning curve, or that one might spend time customizing their setup. I enjoy using well thought out tools. Since I was young I could ap

Other downside, no dedicated HDMI port. Speaking of tanks. I have a T400 from minifree. No PC has ever matched the boot time.

I started the switch last summer. Haven't looked back since. Python gives the veneer of simplicity (ie the Flask hello world script, 5 lines of code approx?). On top of that the 5 different ways of doing x, or just wanting concurrency.

One main reason I switched away from Python was all the dependencies needed to run a performant webapp. And then throw async into the mix and you start wondering about uvicorn instead or do I need gevent? Go really simplified these decision

There has probably been little oversight or no oversight of the CIA since the Church committee in 70s. Fumbling the 911 attacks, selling war to the public in 2003, decades long direct foreign intervention in 20th century, etc. They are ine

What does 'faith' in clandestine services mean? The CIA is so powerful (above the law) and secretive that we just have to trust them? With a undisclosed black budget of $50B? more? Naive and extremely dangerous imo.
