Not only privacy, but also reliability in my experience. If you add in a CDN you now have a point of failure you have no control over that (Murphy's Law) fails at the most inopportune time. In all web frameworks it's pretty trivia

I've stopped using anything language specific like Guard or nodemon. Instead I use the inotify commands on Linux and entr/ack on macOS so no matter what I'm doing, I can watch for changes in a directory.
