I see a lot of discussion on Rust vs $LANG, but nobody seems to be discussing what I think is the meat of this announcement: 1. Fewer tradeoffs for third-party dependencies Most JavaScript/npm packages have to balance a lo

I may be misremembering the file size (8kb? 32kb?), but I distinctly remember this being the bane of my existence for IE6. EDIT: my memory was faulty—I was conflating two bugs: 1. Certain CSS expressions on html or body tags could cause

I think the point GP is making is that this categorization is counterproductive to solving the underlying issues, regardless of what consensus is reached on the taxonomy of our place in the wider ecosystem. To make an analogy: It's a l

I agree with everything here with the exception of: > A big part of landing a job is lying or embellishing to get to the interviews. To the OP: I _strongly_ advise against this. I expect people to embellish. I distrust people who lie, an

Sources for this? I’ve followed Tom’s Hardware for a number of years and they’ve been blasting intel pretty hard lately for their failure to provide competitive offerings in the last gen or two of CPUs: 1. https://www.tomshardwar

I usually ask this question multiple ways with different wording as I go through an interview panel. They're generally along the lines of: 1. What does your roadmap look like? Do you have a roadmap? 2. How reliable is the team about hi

That is one of many ways to address these issues. The underlying problem that needs to be resolved is that the average security posture of most companies is bad and we (US citizens and anyone else vested in the economic well being of the US
