There is also plenty of research linking childhood trauma and trauma during/before pregnancy to physiological changes related to weight gain. Then there are people with adhd, autism, and numerous other conditions that can indirectly in

This is absolutely a false assertion. If your distro integrates flatpak then you will be prompted to update the runtimes. If you manually installed it then it’s on you to update things. Now if the dev bundled deps then yes there is the poss

To me the prescriptive declarations in this whole conversation make it insanely stupid. Who the hell gets to tell developers what they should do. Your users want your software so you get it to them how you can. End of story dudes. Immutable

Increased work load is just as nightmarish to me. In any case as improvements continue that would probably just be kicking the can down the road and abusing workers, before firing them later. Automation should let people work less. Not just

I think you are just trying to be a contrarian. Even “thoughtful” feedback delivered at a bad time or in a bad way is not worth an ounce of gratitude. I dislike modern corporate feedback systems and philosophy intensely. They are driven by

Have you tried float therapy? I did it twice a week for a while and it helped me a ton. Also talk Therapy and a lot of cardio seem to be key for me too. after years of inconsistent answers and shrugging from docs I was frustrated. After rea

I actually found that in practice my go applications were much more resilient. First one in production was handling well over 100k req/s and it was extremely reliable. As a beginner it was very satisfying.

I agree with the other sibling comment about a “job” not being the only way to have that fulfillment. Also apart from the “real” disabled, a lot of people are just disabled enough mentally or physically to be deemed fit for Jobs with a capi

I understand this logic but consider that right now one of the main features is the human gives it a role. It’s not that hard to imagine a more sophisticated version being told to escape and act only in its own interest and then with or wit

Seems rather heavy handed conclusion. And are you just referring to ssri drugs or all depression drugs. Do you think you would have been able to make the lifestyle changes without medication first? If so then why? It may be easy after the f

Worrying about fault and taking an adversarial perspective where you see patients as being stubborn or lazy and concluding that resistance to lifestyle changes is due to that is absolutely insane. People are resistant to those things becaus

Nice points. You don’t even have to argue about internal vs external causes. The real question is about capability. To me when a person is not receptive to advice about lifestyle changes it’s less about stubbornness or ignorance and more th

It’s a brain development disorder. That means the brain doesn’t develop the same. Not just a baby “driven to distraction”. Genes and environment. For example it’s more common in premature babies. Plenty of past and ongoing research
