Ahhh I see. I misunderstood you. Thanks. PS. and pardon me for being rude - it was late and was filled with too much cheap wine.

Bull crap. Having a half-off sale a week before dropping the app isn't honest in any way. What... Google approached them yesterday and they agreed this morning? I doubt that. More likely they've been in negotiations with Google for weeks. B

I guess it would depend on who jumped in to maintain it. I mean, look around. There are many high quality open source apps. Just saying.

What a self serving piece of crap email. I'm happy he and his team are excited. But it's terrible news for their users. They make it sound like we should be happy and excited about this. Please... I've lost all respect for this guy. The rig

Yeah we got screwed. They just dropped the app. They are promising "big fixes" but that's about it. Lovely. This is the bad side of "trusting" startups and their apps. Pisses me off. I mean (to all you startup guys out there), if you have n

The user id is not the owner of the Application folder (the base user of the machine). So n other words, since they didn't bother telling us the user/password, this app is useless. Better off using MacPorts.

Ahh what is the user/password for first login? Might want to put that in the docs. Also, instructions on how to change them. :)

An unusual example. But noted. Want me to link to the "thousands" of disgruntled articles about Apple's or Oracles' developer relations? I left out Google, cause they do a hell of a better job in that department than Apple does. Look I know

Say what you will about MS, but compared to Apple, Google, Oracle, or most other software companies, MS treats it's developers like gods. I can not think of any other company that pays so much attention to it's developer community. I know,

Or the opposite is true. Maybe the breach was major and the "hackers" aren't in it for fame and glory. But cash. Number one rule of a "professional hacker"; don't leave foot prints. That means you sell off the data you copied. Piece by piec

What do you think happens when there is gridlock? No confirmations of any kind. So the various departments out source. One does not need senate approval to hire consultants. ;) In fact, there are lobbyists who push for grid lock because it'

Flash is hated cause of ads. Simple. I can't tell you how many times my browser (over the years) crashed due to some Flash ad. Not to mention the extra time it took to load the page. Is that Flash's fault? No, of course not. Lazy programmer

A lot of this depends on your location. In South FLorida, for example, you won't find the people you need on the net. Sure they're on FB and (maybe) Twitter - but for the most part you will need to be face to face It also depends on "how sm

Actually up front you are correct. BUT the banks also used those loans (which by the way, were granted with VERY favorable terms at VERY low rates) to pay bills due to other banks Take AIG for example.. Banks made billions on payouts from A

The regulators, themselves are also bankers. Or have strong tires to bankers. Kind of hard to ask the SEC (for example) to come down hard on say, Goldman, when most of the executive staff at the SEC worked and have their own positions at Go

I have a brand new MBP (Retina) and I won't be upgrading to ML anytime soon (even though I get a free copy). I'm still bitter at the Lion upgrade process. It was a nightmare for me. And at that time I considered Lion to be Apple's trash OS.

Google's biggest fail point is support. What happens if the device needs service? Google did a terrible job at servicing (customer service) their phone. Trust me, an email address isn't enough. People want to call someone. And people want t

I agree. But, the only reason anyone writes for iOS is money. It's one of the best selling phones on the market. And iPhone uses tend to buy a lot of apps. There's a long list of developers who made fortunes on that platform. So if you don'

I'm relieved about games not being on Google + too. But I also know that's not what Google wants. Google wants the herd. They don't want to be 2nd (or 3rd). And if you want the "herd" you cater to the herd.
