In my experience, exFAT gets corrupted constantly, and then on linux you don't have a proper fsck for it.

When it says gtk is "really really ugly", is it referring to API or UI? I wrote a small app with it and I am happy with the result. https://github.com/cosarara/fucking-weeb

We don't have numbers on the table, so we can't really talk about money. I am presenting what I think would be an efficient use of the money. Not paying a full time artist, not hiring an art director, just having someone with some

Ok, can't. This doesn't change the rest of what I said, though: Have the freelance artist spend some time fixing up the tileset as a whole!

Half Life doesn't look like crap. It looks dated. There is a huge gap between the way the OP's games look and how half life looks, because even though the 3D tech was worse and the textures lower res in half life, it had a proper

I wonder how easy it would for modders to replace the art in those games, just like how people made texture packs for minecraft and tilesets for dwarf fortress. Sometimes a fan with free time is all it takes.

You mention time to react. How do you get notified that memory usage is getting out of hand before the system is actually unusable?

Maybe there's a better way than this, but the same way earlyoom decides it's time to kill processes (% RAM usage) firefox would decide it's time to free cache. While using the 100% of RAM might be the optimal state if you are

Any userspace process can see how low the memory is though, firefox could do it itself. Still, if a notification system is already used in other OSes, a very easy solution would be to add such notification channel in userspace so that any p

Maybe the browser should try to discard some cached data when the system is out of memory. Then some things in the browser would be slower, but the operating system wouldn't hang.

How does this approach play with error handling? If there is an error in my code and it's only caught at step 10, won't the error message be completely inscrutable? Will the line numbers make sense?

I'm glad to see hyphenation was taken into account, even if it requires some extra packages. On the Android epub readers I've tried it never seemed to work (maybe they only support English if at all?).

Why aren't the keys revoked when there is a CC chargeback? People buy from G2A and the like because the keys work , make them stop working and the problem is solved.

We had this piece of news the other day: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19979626 ARM, a UK company stops doing business with Huawei because of US pressure.

I think you meant Debian sid and Fedora Rawhide there. I know Debian fails on "little changes from upstream". Antergos obviously fails nothing because it is arch beneath. But it is dead now. Manjaro, the only other popular arch-

Yes, that's true. But level 1 doesn't force you to write in the target language - the real value is in the last level. You can go through the level 1 of all lessons relatively quickly, but you won't be actually learning.
