Keep in mind that Safari has enough restrictions that uBlock Origin developers decided to stop supporting it, so ad-blocking is pretty poor there.

I don’t get your comment. You just confirmed that, indeed, you need a specific computer to publish Safari extension, which isn’t the case for Firefox and Chrome extensions. It is a limitation and it’s completely unnecessary for the end us

I agree with the general sentiment, but if you used Facebook and YouTube you know they respond immediately on tap, even if the view hasn’t completely loaded. They are SPA-style pages. Unfortunately they are the exception as there are a lot

Yes but icons tend to be downloaded in groups so you can x10 that value. At 160 KB it starts to look like a prime target for optimization.

Indeed but that costs more. I got 12 months at $1/month as a promotional offer. If it lets me, I might restart it (even if I don’t read much at all)

Indeed, I was planning to find a California VPN to avoid the chat/call, but really it took maybe 2 minutes of idle chat to deal with it. Even my low bar for BS wasn’t that triggered. honestly I was more hopefully that they’d renew th

From what I understand, the cable has to advertise the supported power output, it’s not like a raw power outlet that will start a fire if you use a random thin cable. A 5W USB cable will probably never receive 240W, even by mistake.

I think that there’s a general understanding that cameras don’t match 100% what the eye sees. That’s different from a white golden gate.

That doesn’t sound realistic. Sketchy companies probably are not in your country, so good luck with those lawsuits. Second, listing your name in a list of “people with black hair” when it’s easily verifiable you have black hair isn’t a vali

I don’t think they’re a huge amount of people, at least currently. It looks like about 30% of Americans between 25 and 50 have never been married. That means at least 70% of that group has been married, more will marry in their lifetimes,

Common doesn’t mean that most people made it. In a world where you can die for a cut, a hunter doesn’t last to be 70 very easily. This is one of those counter-myths that I’ve been seeing too often lately. The comment about dying early made

By placing the right elements at the right place, you can have native input and text selection, but that’s not just WebGL anymore; That’s a regular (but transparent) webpage with a WebGL background that mimics your input. It takes quite a b

You have a point in that this should not have lasted this long if the world was able to lock down completely until 0 cases for 8 weeks. Other than that, what do you think would have happened if life continued unperturbed in early 2020? Do y

For the latter questions, WebGL is rendered as an opaque bitmap in the browser (canvas element) so it amounts to an unselectable image as far as the user is concerned: It's all pixels and no text.

Are you looking at Facebook with glasses from 2010? Because one would expect a almost-trillion-dollar company to work on more than a single-focus product. Why would a search engine (1997) make glasses (2013)?
