I find it hard to believe anyone would use Notepad past the “wow I can edit this HTML file” phase. I found PSPad years before I started working.

Now that you say it, I also feel that VSCode defaults are wrong. It’s a bunch of small things that feel off.

I’ve never tried those round shavers, but I found that my regular 5-blades are faster and shave closer than my old electric razor, which often felt like it was pulling my hair. The crazy thing is that I last one blade for 4/5 months (a

$30 for the cold brew machine seem reasonable, but I’ve been pouring coffee in plastic bottles to make my cold brew. $0, I don’t even filter it as it just deposits at the bottom, but I don’t know whether the machine is somehow better.

No. Wipr is a clean content blocker. I don’t know how it handles auto-updates of the blocklist, but I definitely don’t need to keep the app open nor does it add buttons to the interface like AdGuard does.

I’ve been trying Brave this week and unfortunately it performed absolutely uselessly on some busy websites, locking up for *several seconds* every time I open a new tab. It might be a temporary bug, but I moved to DDG as my secondary browse

That’s pretty strange for a video platform that is completely free to both users and creators. I wonder why they need to put ads on it.

You said that because you’re poor too. Rich people travel right into resorts, not specific places, because resorts sell you the dream directly. I definitely saw the videos of those dreamy Greek hotels with in-room balcony pools and if I wer

I hope newspapers actually look at the alternative though. Some websites are so poor that I preferred sharing the AMP page instead of the original page since the article was not readable on the latter. That’s right. It was so ad- and popup-

My point is that there’s a limit to it. Teslas still don’t have the same range as a gas car in the same category/price. They could increase it but then I don’t think they can sell a lot of $150k Model Ss. At some point you’ll have more

As a business, you just have to use it. Whether it sucks is irrelevant as that does not affect the reason why you're there. I've given up on thinking GMaps is in any way accurate anyway, since even if the business owner somewhat

Can this really be solved? If "China" decides to take action, it can do so without opposition, with billions of dollars, with megaprojects that span thousands of kilometers, even. Their huge high-speed rail is another example. Can

I think such a grave accusation will bring you to write a story into your permanent memory due to how many times you have to repeat it and go over it. If you go to prison, it’s also the last story of your free life. Once inside, your brai

Many array looping functions have been around since ES5 and I've been personally replacing them to for-of loops with very few exceptions (.map() and .filter() remain handy) Useful fresh additions are .find() and .includes()

I hate that. I noticed I developed this pattern over years of consuming short content online. Why start a big task (or even watch a movie) when there’s this 5 minute video (repeated over 20 videos). TikTok takes this to the extreme with 5-s

It’s great to occasionally see success stories from companies that break the mold and can be used as examples a-la-Craigslist. Without them we’re forever stuck with “I know that a signup lightbox on first visit is ugly, but it converts!”

I don’t disagree, they should definitely just use WSL anyway for their own peace of mind. Most node tools nowadays seem to be written for macOS first, something I would have never thought would happen 10 years ago, given how popular Windows

zx is related, but has completely different use cases. ShellJS is meant to be used from CLI, as native shell commands; zx is meant to run shell commands from JavaScript. There might be some overlap in usage, but IMHO ShellJS is useless unle

Yes, 5 years ago. Nowadays, if you use ShellJS to replicate Unix commands, it means your team is mostly *nix users and you should probably just ask the rest of them to just use WSL and avoid a huge amount of problems that _not_ using it bri
