It's been many years for me, but I remember it having nice interop with .NET as well. Back then I worked with several APIs that were just COM objects brought into .NET.

The new Killer Instinct Pro that is coming out is full scale instead of 3/4, and has a 19" monitor. https://arcade1up.com/products/ki-pro Yeah CRTs aren't realistic these days but I do think it's po

Arcade1up is slowly filling this gap. They've already done an Outrun cabinet for example. It seems Arcade1up's quality gradually increases with each release so there is hope they might do some Sega games justice in the future. ht

I agree but I would still argue there are types of apps where this approach can be nice: prototypes, internal tools or small apps that have modest backend needs. I took this approach via Supabase and I love that I basically don't work

I don't know the technical details of font implementations. But I do know on my low ppi monitor, Ubuntu fonts look far better than both Windows and MacOS.

I am a firm believer in this and just using built in fonts in general. Users really don't care about fonts, they really don't. And if you really need a specific font for say a logo, use an SVG with the text converted to paths. But

There's a lot of retro dev happening now across the board. SGDK has led to a big interest in making Genesis/Megadrive games. Jo Engine is increasing interest in the Saturn, etc. I'm also attempting to help contribute by writi

Oh for sure. My first comment is pretty much me bagging on managers. But in their defense, it's a really hard job. So hard I've never taken it on because I'm positive I wouldn't be good at it. I think my experience of mo

I agree with all of this. But I can honestly say in my entire career I've only had about two good managers. One of the biggest issues in my experience is knowing who the bad/good performers are. Most managers have no idea. I'

That's also my setup. I find VSCode Neovim can get out of sync at times. The fix seems to be to close the document and re-open it. Not knocking the plugin, it has to be quite the task to get the integration working perfectly. But yeah,

Based on the use cases section, it doesn't seem like this is Supabase specific, but rather postgres specific. Do I have that right? Leveraging Supabase for marketing is a good idea.

On a similar note, I've noticed Google search results are almost always very "recent". For example I just searched for "linux find command" and the top result has a date of Nov 21, 2021. I could be wrong, but I don&

I'd never heard of it either, and I'm a very active github user. There's just so much "stuff" out there now, there's no way to keep track of it all.

Since you used "absolutely" and "truly" I'm assuming you're being sarcastic? If not, you just need to look at OxyContin to know this isn't true.

This is most likely because the SNES's audio was entire ADPCM based. The CPS1 was basically doing MIDI, while all audio on the SNES was done with samples, and so the samples could be made to sound more realistic than typical MIDI.

The article is about spacer elements. As in an empty div that takes up space so things next to it get moved into place. I'm arguing that isn't necessary, as css has plenty of tools for laying things out. I have no issue with compo

I don't think "preventing issues" is the reason for deploy freezes. It's more about minimizing change with the hope of minimizing the surface area the skeleton crew needs to consider when an issue does happen.
