I used to work with a guy who said he used to have this mentality, and now he's older and childless, he deeply regrets it.

As far as i can tell, this has zero dependencies. Wow - impressive stuff!

I hold out hope for new microkernel OS's like Redox where drivers live in userland to solve this kind of thing.

Very simple fix: all they need to do is pass UIViewAnimationOptions.allowUserInteraction to UIView.animate(...) when animating the flash of the buttons. Simple oversight.

I'm curious to hear how many people are using open source persistence libraries such as mongo vs whatever is supplied by their chosen cloud platform? I wonder what the long term trend would be, also.

Safer than a motorbike and we allow those, and many commutes are entirely slow traffic - could be an opportunity to write a special law to allow these, within reason - what do you think?

I wonder if you can program this with Rust? There seems to be some support for a LLVM backend which would suggest 'yes'. However the gcc linker is still required which I'm unclear on whether that rules it out: https:/&#

I'm riding mostly on the shoulder of highways where there are no pedestrians and rarely other bikes. I'm happy to have bike speed limits, eg 25 around pedestrians, 50 on the highway shoulder. I already do 55-65 for long downhill s

Would alt tags on the images solve that? I'm all for interesting new ways to tell the news (previously worked with the guy at news corp au who was in charge of trying that stuff out)

I commute by both motorbike and (push) bike. Pushbike has some nonobvious advantages IME: * You can ride in the breakdown lane which is way less stressful than lane-splitting on the motorbike. * You can take off-road shortcuts between sub

I seriously considered buying an e-bike for commuting to work (I'm in Australia too). The biggest obstacle for me are the laws. We follow the euro laws (max 250 watts, and max 25km/h). The power is fine for a skinny-tire road bike

The law comes about from many years of precedent based on various ambiguous circumstances, eg it's a bit of a 'bottom up' thing, i'm not sure if a 'top down' approach like this would work for day-to-day laws. M

This doesn't seem powerful enough for media centers that transcode-as-you-watch like plex/kodi, but would work fantastically well with the ahead-of-time-transcoding media server I created: splinter.com.au/gondola ha - shamele

The problem was that my computer was on a corporate Wifi that wasn't allowing pubnub to work. Perhaps a more helpful error message is worth considering? Anyway, thanks for creating this tool, will enjoy checking it out.

Risk-adjusted pricing: If you buy one of the many alternatives out there, maybe you've got a 50% chance of it working? So the 'real' price doubles on those alternatives. People do this kind of risk mitigation in their head al

Can't we simply extrapolate how many livable planets there are? There are 10^24 planets in the observable universe. Figure out the percentage chance of any one planet being livable and multiply it out. Eg how far you have to be from t

FWIW, the christian answer to this is jesus' command to 'love your enemy', which is the foundation of what, in our culture, we usually call 'tolerance'. I think it's more accurate to judge a belief system by it
