I wonder if this could be used to upscale, say, a 1080p movie frame-by-frame to 4k? Could be fantastic if so. Imagine if it could be built into an FPGA and done in real-time by high-end TVs. Very impressive!

I'm a taxpayer: I am paid electronically, so I must be scrupulous. My neighbour is a tradesman (americans would say 'contractor') - hence, all his invoices are cash. He has two brand new ford wildtrak's in his driveway:

If you want this to be a good Slack competitor, please make a native mac client which doesn't perpetually take 15% of my CPU the way Slack does - i'd convince our team to switch on that basis alone (all else being equal).

The timing re the iPhone 7, which is coming out in a few days, is terrible for Samsung. I imagine customers will have to return their Note, and then many will strongly consider the new iPhone. If this happened even a month ago, that would b

I see a common theme here is resource usage by Slack on the desktop. I also share this concern, and proposed a Kickstarter to build a native app: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2137936555/taut-the-fas... Unf

There's a lot of low-hanging fruit there. They could copy some Play Store features such as: * Auto-refunds if you delete the app within 15 mins (this de-risks the app purchase) * Suggestions for apps that your friends have used * Bette

The phenomenon is known as a 'market for lemons' - freakonomics did a story about it and how it applies to the used car market, but the same principles apply: free markets go bad if one side is low-information.

The place to watch re battery tech, in my opinion, is the RC hobby scene. Eg hobby king will sell you, for $10, a lithium graphene battery which will pump out 60C (eg for a 2 amp-hour battery, it'll give you 120A!). It's incredibl

The country that gave us the Magna Carta, literally the manuscript for limited-government liberty, has done it again, on (almost) its 800th anniversary! Super interesting days ahead.
