I assure that billions of users can't. Even if they have ASCII letters printed on their key board, which is not a given, they will be unable to find that 'f' anywhere, just like you won't find most lower case Cyrillic le

Yeah, no. There was a lot of political violence in proto-democracies, especially around the topic of suffrage. If we just look at "limitation" of women's right to vote - Suffragettes would be called domestic terrorists today.

I really honestly don't get what "quiet quitting" means today. It's origin is quite clear: disillusioned employees don't quit their job, but instead do the bare minimum needed to not get fired. Now it apparently mea

What opinion is getting pushed by these extremely open questions? I can see how many teenagers wouldn't like to openly discuss sex or politics with their parents because they already know what kind of answers their parent want or don&#

It does the opposite - it prevents the price going lower than cost plus Amazon fees. Amazon is not exactly cheap for sellers, so the price has to go up everywhere.

That this is the first thing people talk about now is the point. It's not even relevant if RMS was right or wrong, it was that he lacked any awareness of how his argument must look to most bystanders.

That's incorrect. It was Hitler's father who changed his name, years before Adolf was born. Some people at the time tried to insult Adolf Hitler as a Schicklgruber, not because he changed his name, but because his father was born

That's just not true. You have been able to file the compensation claim online for at least a decade. Since a few years, you can do it with two taps in the app. There is compensation for monthly ticket holders, but it is capped at 50%

This is an ultra low effort version. All Catholics I know give up whatever they give up for every day during Lent. 40 days, not 5 Fridays. And if they avoid meat on Fridays, they do it for every Friday, all year long.

When deciding KPIs, Goodhart's law should always be kept in mind: when a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure. It's really hard to not create perverse incentives with KPIs. Targets like "% of tickets close
