There is nothing else major in this release, so it probably made sense to Use this opportunity to mention it.

Mozilla is currently in a state of disarray. Diving revenues, layoffs, etc. Don’t expect anything major from them until the number of users start growing again.

Facebook is very heavy handed when it comes to these things. I’m talking from my own experience with them. I own a free dynamic dns service, and yes scammer sometimes use it to plant familiar sounding subdomains to cheat users. One such sub

The Monthly Active Users metric is more important, and it has been declining by around 10% each year. That’s very significant. Roughly 25k users lost every day. Mozilla had to lay off almost 10% of its staff this year, and will probably ha

I agree. Even if I don’t sleep at all, but only lie down at night with my eyes closed, I feel better than walking around at night. I mean, I still feel horrible overall. But better than when I spend the night out of bed.

I’m in the same boat. It’s very hard for me to operate on a schedule compatible with the rest of society. I can force myself into it, but I never really feel well rested. What makes matters worse is if I don’t keep my sleeping schedule for

Atari was my first computer, and I remember it fondly. It's extremely sad to see the brand being abused like this.

One issue with Dev Edition is that it shares the base code with Beta. With the new 4-weeks release cycle, most of QA testing now happens in Beta, meaning the chances of serious bugs in Beta and Dev Edition increased quite a lot. Previously,

Here is an amazing video on how to build a computer based on 6502 on a breadboard, and program it in binary to get a Hello World equivalent. I highly recommend it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LnzuMJLZRdU

I can never understand why there is so much discussion in western societies about whether to have kids or not. It’s very simple: 1. If you want to have kids, then you SHOULD have kids. 2. If you don’t want to have kids, then you SHOULD NOT

I think it depends on how much you want to have kids. If you feel very strongly about it, then go ahead and have kids. You will probably experience the chemical changes in your brain that will help you cope. But if you are unsure about havi

Americans have been dismantling and weakening their regulatory bodies for quite a while now. The idea is that this will unshackle big corporations and allow them to innovate faster. This sounds like a great idea, until you realize that this

Perhaps the solution to traffic is remote work + Starlink? Most of the jobs in downtowns of big cities seem to be office jobs in skyscrapers. Can’t most of those people just work from home instead? This would also increase demand for local

The irony is that one of the big reasons Brexit is even happening is because people in U.K. don’t like the fact that EU standardizes everything. They don’t seem to understand that this is being done to protect them from exactly this shrinkf

I’m with you on this. If they allow this plane to fly again, I’ll be actively avoiding it when booking my tickets. Even if that means much higher ticket prices. It would take many years of flawless service of this plane to change my mind.
