That's true: diesel engines generally have higher mpg and lower CO2 emissions than gasoline. Problem is they emit higher levels of nitrogen oxide (ask Volkswagen) which beside being a greenhouse gas also poisons the environment. Presum

I don't know, the geometry simplification and low resolution of textures make it painfully clear the games were intended to be rendered on SD TV's. The crowd texture in the Mario Kart circuit levels looks really ugly to me. Some o

People who build 3d printers don't design the microcontroller used to actually drive te thing. It's magic with a DIY layer on top. Right to repair may help in keep costs and waste down by making swapping highly integrated parts ea

Not sleeping with a plugged in Ethernet adapter seems to be a problem with certain third-party adapters. I'm using an old Wii ethernet adapter which works fine.

Because hydrogen has to be pumped at 700 bar there's a delay when the pump buffer has to be recompressed. This will happen after 1 or 2 cars have filled up, the third will have to wait for 20-30 minutes. Not that different from chargin

Depends on how you interpret 'fixing your vehicle'. It will take just one case where someone 'fixed' their automatic braking system and runs over a kid or something to get this kind of 'right' repealed.

The App Store profits and user privacy are two different issues. It's not all doublespeak: Since an i-device is restricted to Apple's app store it's Apple who can make the call what kind of app behaviour is permitted. They co

Since you're allowed to drive in the snow when you have a driver's license it should be part of the training. You can get skid training courses where a slippery road is 'simulated' on a wet plate which should be possible

The real problem is the OS is fundamentally compromised and your data is at risk of leaking. If you work with data covered by the GDPR that's a no go. Also, I'd not risk logging into my banks website on such an OS.
