I guess you're using Linux? Memory management for desktop applications is really sub-par compared to macOS or even Windows. My 16Gb mac has zero problems with a comparable workload.

If you want to go the bad car analogy route: it's as if a company was making Mercedes car mats using the Mercedes logo and being surprised they have to pay a fee to sell them via the Mercedes dealer network.

That would be great if stores weren't pushing so much for 'exclusives'. I fear that the endgame of multiple App stores is that the guarantee Apple gives (for instance with the privacy labels) will be sidestepped by businesses

There's nothing preventing you from running Java based applications on Linux. Probably there's already a JRE bundled with the commercial applications you're using. The problem here is some people thought it would be a great i

The problem is Java packages are converged around the Maven central repository which is not compatible with the RPM way of doing things. (it's a packaging mess somewhat halfway between RPM and NodeJS...) Since most Java developers use

BS3 contained way too many stupid crate puzzles. The 4th a nonsensical story. I found the 5th to be enjoyable, but sometimes a bit 'fan service' oriented.

A lot of game designers focus on the story and experience they want to bring, not on the technology the programmers have to use to bring it to life. There are a lot of 'tricks' you can use in a 2d game to let it show more depth (l
