Keep in mind that a split-keyboard like the Goldtouch might mitigate wrist deviation and pronation, but it does not eliminate them completely. If you want a completely neutral wrist position, I recommend the SafeType keyboard ( http://safe

JSHint [1] - don't fall prey to JSLint's dictatorship Keep in mind, this is simply an opinion. Although not everybody appreciates JSLint's emphasis on explicitness and readability, there are still a great number of people who do. To the O

By the way, anybody who thinks that real crafsmen typically use the "best" tools available has never seen neither an artist nor a plumber at work. You are correct that they do not pick the "best" tools, but they will deliberately choose t

This is a rather sensational article. The author's first example is pretty easily solved: getFromCache = function (id, callback) { asynchronousCache.get(['id', id].join(':'), function(err, myThing) { if (myThing == null) {

Congratulations OP, and keep up the good work. Also, another good python web framework to learn on is Flask ( http://flask.pocoo.org/ ).

Not a misrepresentation. "scheduling and managing expectations" is implied in "shipping". "hacking" has absolutely nothing to do with "shipping".

As you state on your site, your revenue comes from recruiting programmers for startups. This fact suggests that you are highly incentivized to train startup programmers, not hackers. "hackers" who don't meet deadlines, and don't manage prod

It's too bad that the term "hacker" has been exploited and redefined into something that has almost no resemblance to it's true and original meaning. This Hacker School is essentially a training ground for startup programmers, focusing on e

Just a few notes to keep in mind... 1. You should use the nginx PPA instead of the default Ubuntu one. 2. uWSGI is an excellent alternative to Gunicorn, and can be run as a system startup service using supervisord. 3. As you get further alo

In 2011, one should never need to resort to building SQL with string concatenation in web applications. If you are on Python, consider using SQLAlchemy or OurSQL. If you are on PHP, consider using Doctrine, Propel, or PDO.

This is correct behaviour. You are supposed to use `isNaN()`, which makes perfect sense. This is the same as SQL where `NULL IS NULL` is true, but `NULL = NULL` is not true.

Most of the problems can be eliminated with... 1. Use a standup desk 2. Use a vertical keyboard (http://safetype.com/) 3. Stretch every 4 hours Using a wristguard really doesn't do anything to prevent long term problems.
