If they have any use for a command-line utility to manage the server, it should be named 'pitch'.

Holding a 12cm phone 30cm from my eyes sounds like an awful cinematic experience. On a plane. Holding a device up. Focusing your eyes on this little thing right in front of you. None of this sounds like the way to watch a movie. But maybe

Okay, point taken. But I guess I spend so much time around a computer, I carry my laptop with me most places, that I honestly don't ever find myself with a desire to do things like rsync files and folders. For me, a mobile phone is not a re

"Apple are now seemingly playing me-too with Android/WP7-based handsets" This seems like it must be a joke, but I read a lot of people saying things like this. The sum of a phone are the features that come with it right out of the box, like

Why does every new phone have to be a fucking revolution? It's a better phone than the last one. If you're not impressed, don't buy one.

That's the problem. It shouldn't be tied to a cable carrier at all. Also, it's not available with all cable carriers. If I subscribe to HBO with Time Warner Cable in Dallas, HBO Go is not available to me.

This kind of defeats the purpose of even presenting a list. It should only display one task at a time if it only wants you to work on one task at a time.

I had this happen for some searches after it had already begun to render what appeared to be some relevant data to the page. It cleared the data it was beginning to render. :(

Wasn't the original ruling basically saying, "It's not a copy of the iPad because it's not as cool"? You know if Apple really does have to put this notice on their website, they'll probably find a way to work that into the announcement.

I did a lot of work on the Win32 backend for GTK+ a few years ago, but then when I started at Canonical I stopped working on that. Nobody else really picked it up either. Tor Lillqvist was the original developer of this, and I think he's ba

I was assured that I would get a response from the level-2 support, and so far I haven't. This makes me assume that they still have two tickets open on my account, one that says "remote-disable this device and ship him a replacement" and on

I've recently dealt with Google service for a Galaxy Nexus. They're trying to be better, but they're still basically failing and some pretty basic things. Hopefully they can fix their shit though. Some failings I observed: 1/ They're doing

This isn't really anything new. When I worked for Canonical, they tended to talk about Ubuntu and avoid mentioning Linux. I don't think the point of this is to get exclusive apps, though. Sure they would love to have exclusive apps, but
