Fair enough, could definitely happen. I figure I _do_ still leave enough space even when closing though. I've never wrecked a car yet, so I tend to doubt the machine when it challenges a what I'm pretty sure is a well-refined heur

Same experience. ACC doesn't brake anywhere near as hard as the emergency auto-brake, but when ACC is enabled and the car in front flips their blinker on and starts moving, I have to proactively feather the gas, otherwise ACC will ride

Oof, my experience with with auto-brake in a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek (anecdotal, sample size of one, all that good stuff) is much the opposite. It's too sensitive and tends to brake shockingly hard during fairly mundane maneuvers. When b

Some see it as their duty to fight back against unjust laws/rules. You and I might do it by breaking terms of service, Musk does it by purchasing the platform and adjusting the terms. Two sides of the same coin really, only difference

AMD on Linux is the only platform where I don't have to install extra crap to use my graphics card. Even AMD on Windows pretty much misses this mark. Windows Update will swap in a "slim" driver package on first boot, but if i

That page says it requires the base stations. Can you use the headset as a standalone display output without base stations? I can think of at least one reason why people would. As long as you had a compatible media player and video file...

Recently had a hard time exporting 20+ OTP secrets from Google Authenticator. I believe I discovered a bug in the app: if you long press a secret > edit > leave an empty string as the comment, and then export a QR code containing this

I remember reading an article years ago (mid-2000s, must have been) about an entire book that used palindromes extensively. I believe it was sci-fi-adjacent, only thing I remember distinctly was something called "ylyly" in the boo

Bluesky is Twitter's right? Will be cool if they come away with something actually decentralized. Trial in beta with hackers, then one day, in-place swap Twitter to run on it. Pipe dream?
