The fastest boarding and deplaning I have experienced is at Burbank airport. It is done with 2 open doors: front and rear - rather than just 1 door boarding only front to rear. I'm sure it is the same at other small airports as well.

Personally I enjoy all of the analog dials. For some reason they really look neat, classy and appealing.

I keep seeing this, but I don't think it is true today with latest FF. The recent updates they made have made FF on mac speedy and no more battery hungry than chrome. safari still beats all on batt though...

Yeah living in the area I have noticed that as well. Pollution coming from the east / northeast (Weld County) probably due to the fracking. But if not, it would be interesting to find out where. However, this is not to say Den/

To start: Starting Strength book - having a plan and goals.

The key to not make it boring or drudgery is to set goals for yourself. And having a plan to work toward those goals. Without either it can become boring or meaningless for some folks (outside the obvious health benefits).

I have one of these cases[1] for my Pi4 4GB from Amazon. Comes with heatsink and small fan (very quiet). Right now running "watch -n 1 vcgencmd measure_temp" puts it at 36C idle. Well I guess it is actually running k3s with no

Yeah it sucks, BUT if they are not going to add it how about throwing a nice hub dongle in the box for free? Something that gives me card reader, a couple USB ports, ethernet, hdmi. that would take some of the sting out of it. Since you c

yeah, I don't get it either. Although this one is not that bad. (tinfoil hat) Seems like they want this to fail to keep ICE and all the supporting industries alive for more $$. After all service/parts is where the real money is.

I havent tried E series - might be worth hitting think pad subreddit (or something equivalent) and asking about it. The ones I mentioned are from personal exp so I'm pretty confident about those.

this is not true on the 6th gen. I don't know about the 7th gen though... if it is true on 7th gen it would be a shame. Although traditionally lenovo has done well with linux, I will say this is where Dell does this better - actually

I have a gen 6 and no issues. Is it a 7th gen? BTW what disto? Im on Fedora 30. I would check that you have linux compat turned on in firmware and patch to latest firmware. Also running tlp helps depending on the distro. I get good bat

I agree. And I just did the opposite. Been using Fedora for a year or so on an X1 Carbon and switched to having to use a new 2019 macbook pro for work. I had fond memories of macs when I last used them 6 years ago but today....wow. Not

stick with good hardware - IME Lenovo T series thinkpads OR (best choice) X1 Carbon. No issues for me in almost 2 years on Fedora.

WSL2 might be better when it gets released in final form, but when I used WSL it was better than cygwin etc but still a PITA to deal with. Personally I think Linux (Fedora or Ubuntu) on Lenovo Thinkpads - esp X1 Carbons is the best option.

Might be. Stick to T series Thinkpads or X1 Carbon and there aren't any problems. I personally think the X1 Carbon is a PERFECT replacement for a macbook. The only thing lagging is the trackpad. Its not bad but no PC trackpad is qu

I agree the Linux desktop has a come a LONG way in recent years and it is soooo close. It is stupid stuff like this that holds it back - the last little small tweaks that make like easier. Tweaks should just be part of Gnome - period. Pu

I think the main problem is that cars can be a great last mile transport but a horribly scaling transport for common long distance travel (commuting to city cores, etc).

I agree on EKS,IMO is it an unfinished bare bones "managed" service. Upgrades of control plane and nodes is a royal PITA - very manual and error prone. In GKE it is literally 2 gcloud commands. I think AWS hamstrings kubernetes

Denver is very much in bed with Comcast. It is after all Comcast's major headquarters. I would bet DEN is that last domino to fall once all other CO cities implement municipal internet.

You will also get gig bi-directional with the city - afaik comcast is only offering 20-30Mbit uploads for their gig service. But yeah surprise! City announces city internet service and comcast slashes gig from $200-300 a year ago down to
