- akvadrako 7y agoX1 carbon is not a good choice for Linux. The mic requires proprietary firmware that can only be loaded with mixed success on the latest kernel.
- bproven 7y agothis is not true on the 6th gen. I don't know about the 7th gen though... if it is true on 7th gen it would be a shame. Although traditionally lenovo has done well with linux, I will say this is where Dell does this better - actually certifying and supporting some of its laptops on linux for devs.
- akvadrako 7y agoMost X1s are also Ubuntu certified - it doesn’t mean much.
