While we’re on the subject of user-hostile behaviour, I’m getting more and more frustrated with e-mail getting less useful by the day. Companies sending e-mail from no-reply addresses, so you have no possibility of replying to an e-mail. Wh

Well I for one won’t download or run a separate browser, even if that means I’ll miss out on your app or website. I find Safari convenient and fast and it is easy on my battery, while doing a great job at protecting my privacy.

I agree that it shouldn't happen. But it does, I've reproduced the issue with different recipients. Send a message having only A and B as bcc. The header of the message received by B contains the domain name of recipient A.

The problem also appears when sending to different domains not hosted by O365 (in fact: Google Apps). The domain name of the first bcc still appears in the headers received by the second bcc. Update: maybe your receiving SMTP is overwriting

Microsoft appears to be adding the header `Authentication-Results` to all outbound e-mail. This header contains the first recipient's domain name, regardless of whether this recipient is specified as to/cc/bcc. The whole poin

Would like to know this as well. The deciding factor would be the responsiveness of a lookup. How quick can one locate the tag when it is out of reach of your iPhone and needs to be located through the "public network"?

Music.app is so bad. Every interaction is sluggish on the fastest hardware and even on fast networks. I dread using it. iTunes had its problems but at least it wasn’t trying to be an even slower version of some Electron app (well except for

Yeah that’s what bothering me as well. Seems to be happening everywhere though, reduced information density and increased whitespace and fonts. So as we’re all buying something with bigger screens, we still keep loosing real estate.

In C# one has to take the synchronization context into account. Calling an async method in a synchronous method while blocking, will lead to deadlocks sooner or later on various implementations. For example ASP.NET (non-Core) only allows 1

Same here, being slow as molasses really spoiled the game for me. I wonder if the same software quality caused other unnecessary in-game loading times. I felt that time spent playing GTA:O was about 60% waiting in lobby/playing, and th

Reinvent http proxies, but now with additional code and data that gets out-of-sync and is harder to debug.

There was (and still is) misconception regarding that screen. That screen is for authenticating on the network. I believe you could also just close the dialog. It’s not for authenticating a local user account. Failing to authenticate you

I wouldn’t call the machine “bricked” if you could just restart the process. “Bricked” is when you cannot recover from a problem in any way. The machine is the as useless as a brick. Having to restart the restore process with a potential su

You compete (as understood from the article) in Powerball by 50 choose 5, 20 choose 1. So 1 in (50!/(5!⨉45!)⨉20 = 42.375.200. There are 15 ascending "suspicious" winning sequences, as the choice of Powerball is always last an

Maybe someday this can be added to browsers, and the browsers can advertise the users’s preference to the server. Maybe even have a special request header for it. We could call it “Do-Not-Track”. A value of “1” would opt-out of all tracking
