Xdotool is just one of many tools for automation on x11, it's not part of xorg. There's also Xautomation, AutoKey and others. What's the difference? There is absolutly none. Where is there more fragmentation? I'm not ref

That's just bad faith now, your definition of fragmentation does not match the dictionary one.

None of those comments have an actual example. I still have no idea what you complain about, there's really not much difference between using gnome on wayland and gnome on X11 or Sway and I3. In the wayland counterparts though some of

The benefits of Wayland are: - Much better graphical stack (no more tearing, weird graphical glitches, fractional scaling support without blurring for Wayland native apps) - Much improved security (on x11, any app has access to all your inp

What is flawed? The difficulty arise from the complexity of the problems to solve. In a x11 world, the assumption is that everything that a user runs is fully trusted, any software has access all the inputs, all the audio, everything that i

In Wayland the data of the clipboard stays in the app where it was "added" to the clipboard and only transit between the application where it was copied to the app where it is pasted when pasted. I think the issue was at this tran

Which other major provider uses this list? Uceprotect is attempting to racket me from time to time. While I'm blocked i try different providers to guess the ones using this, I only found Hotmail blocking me.

UCEPROTECT is a scam. Blocking innocent people and asking them for money has nothing to do with security. The good thing is that most email servers do not use it because it's just bad. The bad thing is that Hotmail uses it (or at least

Nvidia just fixed its driver this year, and it's still not in great shape. You can only blame Nvidia for that. We have quite different experiences I guess. On my side I just see that the recurring graphical issues that I had with X11 a

Debian is definitely not a good distribution to test Wayland in its current state. A lot of packages are quite a few stable version behind, and the whole Wayland ecosystem is moving really quickly (for example, Gnome 3.38 instead of Gnome 4

I don't think this kind of solution works to be honest. This creates a right to pollute or generate waste more than focusing on solving the original problem.

Ubuntu LTS is on x11, not wayland. So pipewire is irrelevant here. Pipewire and xdg-desktop are fairly new but not changing every day at all, that's just pure lies. Now that's it's supported by almost all software but zoom, i
