Any advice on getting started with Unity? I've always tried to start a weekend project and get inevitably get bogged down in the details of Unity/Mono.

I think you're reading too much into the Miley Cyrus thing. It was just a strange anecdote that added character to the partner.

I'd like to buy it in physical form, if that is in the works. I've had a hard time using mobile versions of non-trivial texts and tend to bookmark without ever revisiting.

Does this logic apply to the workers who maintain the physical infrastructure for the CIA? The Coke guys who refill soda machines? The internet providers? Where do you draw the line? A government agency leverages services to further it'

If a sales person is keeping around 50% of your business, you should provide incentive for them to stay- right?

I think this boils down to two things: We're not that smart and the problems we're solving are either too ambiguous or have too many engineering dimensions. A lot of the people implementing distributed systems have some knowledge

I'll give it a shot. Quoting a poster above. >>> TLS heartbeat consists of a request packet including a payload; the other side reads and sends a response containing the same payload (plus some other padding). So, what happens

I'm of a similar background. My brother and I are both software devs, making more than 3x as much out of college than her at 62. We both collectively send enough money that she has retired and stopped working. It's not my decision

The average salary for developers is roughly in 80-100k. As a recent grad, almost all of my peers were in the 60-125k range. The only salary I've seen that was grossly under the average was 48k- but that was expected.. the employer was
