Co-sleeping in an attached cot is encouraged in some European countries AFAIK. And I know families that have used the same bed; even we did that on some days, it can be quite nice :-) It’s important to never drink alcohol or go to bed impai

If it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work, ok, use formula. But if those sacrifices are things like being tired, sore breasts, etc there are normal and there are solutions available.

The diving in your story is more like working on a computer than like programming itself. Otherwise the claim would be that we’re paid 0 to program which is easily disproven. I think many people are overthinking this and coming up with a pr

There are cots which attach to the parent’s bed and special blouses which allow for easy breastfeeding without undressing. The whole process is as simple as dragging the baby over, taking one breast out and bringing them near to it. The bab

The WHO and any local health org worth its salt cares. Parents that want the best for their baby do. The more appropriate question is who wants to ignore the medical consensus and why. Of course some women can’t breastfeed and they deserve

These discussions happen when people don’t give consideration to the fact that reliability is an architectural concern and error handling is part of that. There’s certainly a minimum of error handling that has to be done in order for code t

In C++ for example there’s an exception hierarchy and several classes of errors similar to what you enumerated, so the handler might catch a specific exception as a more generic one. There’s also … which catches all exceptions. This is fine

The father can do everything except breastfeeding, so there’s no reason (except illness) to divide labour on exactly the thing that evolution built the mother to do.

Syria’s far away from Europe and in reality no refugees from there have the right to protection from Europe. The EU being the moral superpower that it is helped them anyway, so I think it deserves praise, not criticism. Well, at least deser

I find these accusations quite interesting. There’s 150+ comments, most thoroughly following what’s the official EU/US stance and there’s probably less than 5 people here slightly diverging from that, without even supporting Russia. An

With the amount of online and offline inquisitors ready to pounce at the slightest divergence from the official EU and US party line, those trolls and nerds stand no chance. Just like truth, neutrality, free speech, etc don’t either.

Most countries have better things to do than perpetually going to war and meddling in the affairs of other countries. So on the contrary, there is no reason - inherent or otherwise - why Western Europe would get at all involved in this war.
