Would love to see a couple of photos of what’s possible! Any maybe some info about where you’re located?

I’d rather let those 2 problems play out than prematurely killing off huge numbers of humans. Was this a joke?

Who cares what it was / wasn't part of. The majority of people in HK don't want to be part of China. That's all that matters. > We Chinese eventually will get rid of CCP, but we don't want the great nation get sp

Good on them for building things the right way for each platform. I'd love to hear more about how they architect things on the iOS side!

I'm guessing this is common API design in the world of C libraries? Coming from Swift / other high-level languages, it seems awfully error-prone to have to call an API multiple times, sometimes with null arguments, sometimes with

I built `HorizonCalendar` https://github.com/airbnb/HorizonCalendar - an iOS calendar / date picker component that can display huge date ranges without sacrificing CPU / memory performance. It also has a decl

I’m working on this for iOS - I’ve recorded a daily voice memo journal for the last 1155 days, and when I finish the app, I’ll import all of them and let the speech to text take place. My goal is to have a searchable record of my life, and

Is it actually correct to say “they’ve better plans”? It only sounds correct if “they’ve” (they have) is followed by a verb, like “they’ve _sold_ their house” or “they’ve _tried_ their best.” I’ve never heard someone say “they’ve a Tesla” t

The best for who? This is a ridiculous take, nobody wants to roll their own TV UX except HN users looking for a weekend project. What usability / long-term reliability perk does your own software running on a RPI have over an Apple TV

Sure, but the impact you’re having has the potential to reach many orders of magnitude fewer people. It’s a trade off, and I personally wouldn’t feel a sense of superiority.

Perhaps a dumb question, but why don't things like signed pointers prevent this? Are they just not that good of a security measure?

Here's the thing, Apple, for better or for worse, dictates what looks good and what doesn't. These are clearly a technical downgrade from AirPods, but I'd also argue these are a fashion / status downgrade as well. To me,

I definitely don’t think it was your intention to send a “this is a male’s job” message, but some readers might interpret it that way (even subconsciously) if we use language like “software guys” instead of software developers. There are de

It would be great if you could link to a recording that you think could induce this state, given that you’re an expert in this field! If I’m left to search on my own I’m not sure I’ll find the correct recording.

I hate to say it but this just demonstrates, all in one place, how far behind PWAs are from native apps. Does anyone have an example of a PWA (hosted here or elsewhere) that rivals the best apps seen in native app stores? I’m talking about
