This is my take as well. The current system is well suited for the world that is resource-constrained and more or less designed to actively weed out students from reaching mastery. In other words, it’s not necessarily designed for optimal d

MBA is simply not worth it outside of maybe top four or five programs here in the US. I rather see people focus on mastery learning within or outside of traditional graduate settings.

Link to the report referenced in the article: https://www.newamerica.org/public-interest-technology/report... Interesting read. I think the ramification of limiting M&A based on social media data could be quite neg

You look at the list of most efficient health care systems across the globe and they are not nearly as large as the US. They are typically small and homogeneous. I like the concept of single payor in the US but I do see big hurdles even if

I don't really condone this but the world simply doesn't reward original work. This is particularly true in corporate world. The whole concept of Modern China is built on technology transfer so I don't know why we are so surp

I am not a big fan of what’s happening in China but what do you expect them to do at this point? If they let the SV firms come and do business as usual, China is not going to last. Sure, it really doesn’t help that the govt is “investing” i

I think these research based on hours is misguided and useless. What matters is production. Not everyone is in consulting milking billable hours.

Those are all fair points. Their Prime program used to be ridiculously generous in earlier days. However, I have a very very hard time thinking of someone, big or small, who does it better.

Well, think most people were taking the ferry between the two cities (~1 hour ride). In addition, it appears there's a low daily cap in terms of the number of cars from HK that can enter Macau? Also has Macau developed into something o

Amazon’s customer service is still very good to excellent especially considering the volume they handle and the loss they take on return frauds. It’s still no Costco or Nordstrom but Amazon is the gold standard for online retail experience.

I really don’t understand the reasons behind building a sea bridge connecting HK and Macau. I can’t help but think this is a project drawn up by some inexperienced policy maker. Other than it being a grand landmark public project, and ignor

Natural gas infrastructure in New England and MA in particular is horrible. A big part of the reason why prices remain high (3-4x vs New York) in the region despite the recent fracking boom. Incidents such as this do not help.
