In simple scenarios with two actors perhaps, but I don't think that holds true for complex scenarios with multiple participants. Somebody who steals the best from everybody and is always one generation behind the state of the art in e

It probably has something to do with Israel being very popular with wide swaths of the American public (particularly evangelical Christians), to such an extent that it's not terribly uncommon to hear American politicians praise Israel

For the Danes to trust spies requires willful naïveté, no? I wouldn't be surprised to hear key Danish politicians got bribed or blackmailed into being so credulous in the first place.

It's not often you read headlines about the NSA actually doing what they're meant to do. I'm glad to hear they still find time for real work, not just spying on everybody's dick pics.

I think the scope of your consideration is a bit narrow. Lockheed Martin probably isn't very interested in stealing technology from Sukhoi to clone and put in their own jets. However it seems quite likely that Lockheed has an interes

No need for the snark. The part that was puzzling me is clarified by the courts evidently not being involved yet.

The movie Jurassic Park has impressive visuals but is almost completely lacking the social commentary the book has about [bio]tech startups evading regulators and 'moving fast and breaking things.' The movie also turns the park

The article says Disney has ignored his legal representatives. I don't know how that's possible, but it's what the article says.

Even if you think customers shouldn't be given a choice, there is still no excuse for not informing the users of the situation. Apple is not a victim here.

Yeah, it makes zero sense that Disney could buy something that wasn't for sale in the first place (the rights to the books without any contractual obligations attached, which Lucasfilm did not own and therefore could not sell.)

Please fix the title of this submission. I know the rule/guideline, but dropping the # renders the title bizarre.

Are these really the two options? What about displaying a plainly worded message that explains the situation to the owner, then gives them the choice? Or would that be too confusing and scary for Apple customers?

I don't know what you mean by 'you don't have to.' The claim above is that there is a difference between learning how to program and having an onlyfans account. Your response was to say the difference is that the lat

Turning that into a career seems like a moonshot, making it comparable to other "achieve celebrity" plans young adults may have (become a movie star, become a famous youtuber, become a famous rockstar, etc) I think in general

Trump is culpable for much, but technically the conflict in Yemen started before he was president. The claim above still seems accurate, though I think we can safely say such a claim is damning with faint praise.

It is 'more rational' for an American president to avoid war with NK and leave it as something for his successors to deal with. Kicking the can down the road is easier than a war where potentially a few million South Koreans get

I think they meant to draw attention to the implementation of `yes` to showcase crustiness the C stdlib imposes on even a trivial program. But of course GNU is kind of notorious in this regard. Compare their `yes` to OpenBSD's. It&#x

It's not just about control rods. Naval reactors also ramp up fast, which allows you to ramp them down more often without incurring long ramp-up periods. They're very good reactors, and the USN has a better safety record for run
