What's the "correct" ("less funny"?) result of Array(16).join("wat" - 1) + " Batman!" ? Empty strings separated with NaN s look perfectly logical to me (I'm a JS guy though, so, well, bear with me).

I too think Chrome did that for a while - but it's gone in the current version. I definitely had it turned on for a while, used and actually liked the feature. Now it only works for search phrases and Google results.

It's a great change not because of IE6 (which, most likely, won't be affected at all) but because of future versions of Internet Explorer. These are now supposed to be released annually, which could be a curse for developers if there was no

For me: if it's not entirety - it doesn't count. Lala figured it out and I had hoped Apple will follow this path after they bought them. Sadly, they didn't.

Although some are claiming that Spotify's pricing is similar to the amount that the average person used to spend on CDs, so why are labels getting less from Spotify than they did from CDs/iTunes I'm guessing one of the reasons is that iTu

It’s true that iTunes is a place for people to purchase music, but it offers all the same benefits of Spotify in terms of discovery. Last time I've checked to discover music on iTunes you had to purchase it.

The tutorial you've mentioned overcomplicate things a bit and uses tables for layout, which is a total no-go. However, even as a regular HTML5 defender I have to admit centering stuff in HTML/CSS in not exactly a trivial task. It's not very

Who would still use HTML? There would be no upside at all, Flash has always had better tools. No upside at all? Open standards, semantic code, SEO optimization, separation of presentation and content, ability to look into the source code,

I deal with HTML and CSS everyday so I'm probably biased but for me all these cross-browser compatibility problems related to rendering stuff are grossly exaggerated. Aside from IE6 (which, I believe, should not be supported anymore) supp

Agree, although I have to add it has some terrible performance issues. The site, especially the front page, is hardly usable on slower PCs (netbooks, for example). I guess all these custom fonts are at fault here.

Yes, EU only banned X-Ray scanners. As for the other technologies of full body scanning, well, these are actually green lighted, not banned: http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,15532933,00.html

Well, one coud argue that developing one web app for a selected browsers is faster than developing a few native apps, each for different OS. Especially when you consider the fact that on mobile devices Webkit is a de facto standard and th

Even before "Unreal" you could find the servers, check the ping, see the players' nicks, scores and statistics via browser in both "Quake" (technically: "QuakeWorld") and "Quake 2". The plugin to do that was called "QPlug"/"Q2Plug" and it w

Agree with your point, although I wouldn't say our age is that poor in rhetoric. Obama had some really great speeches in his campaign and Jobs' product presentations were top notch too.

That's why almost no one makes 'glitzy' apps in HTML5 - and this is, actually, a good thing . However, I expect it to change once Adobe tools for HTML5 will mature and gain traction. As was the case with Flash, these will be more popular a

Completely agree. People hate Gates and Microsoft for some really silly reasons. Windows 95? It was a brave and revolutionary OS. Would world switch to Linux, Mac or BeOS if there was no Win95? No way it would, it would wait for Windows 4.

Compressing socialism to USSR and bankrupt countries is really a cheap kind of rhetoric. I could respond with a brief history of Chile or a tale about bankers living on a crisis - but that's kind of misses my point, which is that a comparis
