What it needs is the phone . It's own iPhone, Galaxy S or Droid. Here's hoping Nokia will do it right at last.

Linux has (had?) this annoying little "feature" of minimal input lag. Unnoticable at first, becomes a deal breaker after a while (especially if you work on Windows machine in the meantime). Same story: Firefox, or even Chrome - when compare

I'm excited and a bit afraid at the same time. Excited because hardware supported web pages is something I had wanted for years. I'm not even talking about some fancy possibilities here, just the fact you don't have to worry about performan

I'm going back to this page almost every hour today and every time I get to "goodbye, dad\n" part I'm getting emotional... Excellent homage.

Classes, types, better syntax - it's all available in JavaScript today, in it's various 'forms' (CoffeeScript, Mootools, Closure, etc.). Dart isn't a bad language, it just doesn't bring anything exciting to the table (or I fail to see it).

Yes, that would be something huge (or maybe I'm thinking that because I have this idea for a long time and really wish someone would do this). Obviously, the quality of the output php code would matter a lot. Actually, by quality I mean mos

I didn't mean that literally . All I'm saying is that a hypothetical portrait of Jobs I would made would be closer the today's apple.com welcome page: simple, elegant, almost raw and in some magical way both sterile and emotive - like most

In my mind Jobs was the kind of guy that soils his sneakers while running, not while peacefully walking. The image painted by Gruber here is a kitschy one - and kitschy is probably the adjective least fitting to Jobs and his creations.

This is just 'the most accurate you can get' list of things Jobs invented or co-invented... No need to start another patent dispute over it.

1. If x86 hardware is so terrible (and I have heard that the architecture really is bad many times), how come we don't have competing chips out there which are many, many times more efficient? I know ARM outperforms on the low-power front,

Is the recent brood of patent related lawsuits something extraordinary? And if so what could be a reason for that? Economy crisis? Rise of smartphone/tablet market? Or maybe the hi-tech industry was always like that, only no one from the ou

On iPhone 4 all fonts are ok (please, don't size them down) except for the ones on sliding out, black panels - these are a bit too small.

Actually, the author of the article is missing the point of CSS gradients. They are not for sophisticated shapes or "anything useful like that". That's exactly what SVG or raster images are for. Someone could as well write a post entitled "

Folks at MS are doing a pretty good job with IE recently. Even though IE9 is a bit behind "modern browsers" (text-shadow!) - it is a decent browser. And IE10 looks very promising, in fact it looks like it will have all it needs to be consid

Why they just don't make a 200 dollar tablet out of it? Probably would be a bit thicker than what's now on the market, but with such a price tag? People wouldn't mind.

Facebook lists are pretty much useless. Yes, you can hide all your status updates from a selected bunch of people, but if you want to show them a single one you've got to make a bunch of additional clicks and then type in the lists' name (i
