Honesty! I want a bank that will always give me the best rates on a deposit (allowing perhaps for notice times). The current crooks ALL steadily lower interest rates on accounts after a couple of years as they introduce new account types. H

As the Uno card game is played using a specially designed pack of cards then it is fairly clear that the game is covered by copyright as well as a Trademark. Copying without permission would definitely be a no-no. Stick to games using the s

I thought all of these died out in the 80's when most were born. I had a boss at the time who thought that one of these would prove effective - at least in reducing the development burden on the Department. Those that I tried all proved fan

If you write classes that have methods that can change a non observable state of the class then you have followed the wrong path. Not at all sure that functional programming will prove a cure though.

Yes, you post it to HN (if it is any good). If it has been posted before then this is the same as an upvote (well you did think it was relevant and interesting did you not?) and if it is new then you will see it posted to the new items page

The (very little) information provided implies that this only works for communicating with existing users - so a bit like the first person to pay for a telephone to be installed - who are you going to call? A good demo would help - perhaps

Do we have to treat every brain dead action by the TSA in the USA as if it is a news item of importance to software start-ups? Great stuff for other sites I am sure but just clutters up HN.

I have taken UI aspects from the HN approach to a news site (plus a few ideas from StackOverflow) to include news pages on a site otherwise developed using ASP.NET, SQLServer and jQuery - point being that it was not very difficult to build
