I haven't had any issues. I have them on my resume but they don't sound very adult oriented. Most of them have innocent sounding names that yield no search results. When they do, you can't tell much more than they do e-com

Damn, I worked at a porn company before and we had people sitting there watching porn all day doing nothing but entering in tags. Now if only it could identify the pornstars in it as well. I imagine the tube sites would use this as well as

I looked around at Elm a little bit recently. I use React/Redux daily at work and have been learning Haskell on the side. When I took another pass at Elm it was extremely easy to pick up. I was able to skim through the docs super fa

I'm still amazed that the Mac Finder still doesn't let you cut and paste files with Cmd-X, Cmd-V like you can in Windows. That's one thing I miss from Windows. It was so much easier to move files around. Having to have 2 w

Great write up. Thanks for sharing this. Did you do any research into how states differ in terms of porn / prostitution laws? It seems like the porn industry has been having an exodus from California. Especially with prop 60. A lo

I wouldn't consider using people on bicycles to power society good science. It's probably one of the most inefficient methods of energy generation. That episode seemed a bit far fetched to me.

Sounds like using an accelerometer to measure vibration and reduce spin speed if vibration is too high might be a good addition to washing machines.

Living in a house full of porn stars with different girls cycling through each week, photographing them, and hanging out with them. Not something most nerds like me get the chance to experience.

Good points. I've had similar feelings about node / react ecosystem. So much damn stuff getting in the way. Actually made the decision to move away from Node / React for my personal stuff. Looking into Haskell / Yeso

It would be a welcome addition. Reputation is huge though. Customer must have confidence they are going to be able to cancel and not be charged for other things. Businesses need to know the company is going to be around and pay out in a

Yeah, have to use something like CCBill or Epoch but they charge way more because it is "high risk". Can't stand their APIs though.

Nah, pretty easy. I actually deliberately put it on my resume to filter out companies that would probably be up tight about it. Most coworkers at companies I have worked at know what I have done in the past. Never had an issue. You don&#

I worked in the industry as well, pretty much all angels (agent, photographer, webmaster, videographer, programmer). I second that programmers are given a lot of flexibility and that development tends to be much faster. There's a lot

Most of them have innocent sounding names. You just give the name of the actual company. They don't have anything online that you can find about them. When asked what you do... "internet marketing".

Agreed. Before this and promises it was impossible to reasonable about async scenarios without getting seriously confused. Allowing programmers to write code as if it was synchronous removes a lot of confusion, boilerplate, and bugs.
