The article makes good points but is a little harsh... of course mastery takes aptitude and practice and it is ridiculous to think that you could learn anything even remotely complex in an hour or a day. But the "learn to code" ef

Just depends on who your users are, and if they care about free software. But, in general, yes... it is probably wishful thinking. But just because the future looks dismal doesn't mean that you don't give it your best shot.

This is true, and a good comment. It sort of supports what I am saying though; there actually aren't a lot of gun owners who think it is tyrannical to have regulation around this. And besides, the percentage of crimes committed in

Actually it seems very similar to the example you provided. A similar scenario would be if a firearms manufacturer designed a semi-automatic rifle (one trigger pull = 1 shot fired) that easily could be modified to be an automatic rifle (one

Danny, In your opinion how does this affect the ability of governments to pass laws requiring them to use only free and open source software? I think this is incredibly important not only for software freedom but for a properly functioning

You have to get a license from the BATF to do so, and you are limited to 10,000 gallons per year (which is plenty). To get the license you have to give them permission to enter your property without a warrant to inspect whenever they like,
