This is relative. 5000€ is $5623. You can maintain a "normal" life standard around here for about $800 (renting a studio / two room flat in the city centre + all the expenses, no car but I never needed one - the subway takes

Is this an American thing? I live in Eastern Europe and make decent buck here (close to 5000 EUR/mo after taxes in a country where you can cover all expenses under 1000 EUR/mo). I never had any trouble getting quality work in my c

I’ve been using git for almost a decade now and I don’t understand how conventional commits work. The docs make no sense to me: https://www.conventionalcommits.org/en/v1.0.0-beta.3/#specif... , full specification

Did you try it or maybe even use it? I tried Sails a year ago but the learning curve felt really steep and it wasn't super popular at that time :(

As a front-end developer I hated Rails, every day was a struggle working with the project, it was so slow. It was around 4 years ago and I was using top of the line Macbook Pro. Our project wasn't badly written, it was just that slow.

I'm always amazed how expensive mobile plans in the US are. Google Fi Unlimited + 6 GB of is $80 a month. In Poland you get the same for around $6.5, prepaid. On the other hand AT&T Prepaid $40 Monthly Plan has everything unlimited

There's a small Polish startup that helps people find nearest pharmacies with given drugs. They did pretty nice analysis and found out their whole infrastructure costs $1300 a month and they would have to pay additional $5000 for Googl

I'm never ever going to buy another ZenBook again. I got one for my girlfriend and another one for my dad, around the same time one of my dev friends also decided to move to ZenBook from rMBP. Compared to Macbooks it looks, feels and w

In Poland where I happen to live there are almost no black people at all, I'd guesstimate it's much less than 0,1% of the whole population but we have similar problem with women in tech. There is only one solution in my opinion -

I moved to OS X from Windows 7 around 6 years ago and I really missed the Windows at first. But then checked 8.1 and had no regrets, the thing was awful UX-wise, they tried to break my patterns but why? The only company I partially trust wi

Does it affect only 6(S)? I'm thinking about getting SE as I have small hands and it looks like a perfect fit but I think it's kind of pointless to get a new iPhone with so serious, known and most likely impossible to fix, bug? SE

I'm wondering how difficult (if not impossible?) it would be to change the format in the US. It makes no sense whatsoever and the US seem to be the only place in the world to use mm/dd/yyyy excluding a few countries in Africa
