ASMR works well for me, most of the time (quality of ASMR matters - what's popular is just clickbait and not great content). Other times I need to meditate for a while to calm down and clear my head. Personally, the most important thin

The real problem isn't necessarily flat vs skeuomorphism - it's the representations that are not really representative to everyone. Try "Click that icon with the floppy disk to save." with a new user.

Depends on whether or not your opinion enrages someone with a massive herd behind them. If you offend someone with a sizable mindless drones as followers, good luck.

It's naive to think any company exists for any other purpose than maximizing profit. That's business 101.

I have the same opinion as the author here. When I buy a 4k monitor, it's generally for the higher PPI. There's just less eye strain for me reading less pixelated fonts. Personal sweet spot me in terms of pleasant readability is:

It is only natural progression here. Heck, I am surprised it took this long. Considering the fact that in many Github projects, "Issues" were being used for discussions, questions, often tangents.

This looks great. For browsers, would have been even better if the result was an SVG or pure CSS gradient. Canvas can still have performance hit on mobiles. The JS implementation of Gradify [1] did something similar but by using CSS linear-

All good suggestions. Adding to this, there's a thread full of similar gems: https://twitter.com/flybayer/status/1220406529901223936 I do get that not all of these can be done and many are specific to niches.

It's not that the contrast is low (which is another problem on its own, I agree). It's the other extreme - too high of a contrast [1] by using a fully saturated yellow and black. The same reason you don't use #fff on #000. [1
