The generalized version of the fallacy (“Labour-saving technologies increase unemployment in general by reducing demand for labour in general .”) may be wrong or not. That’s kind of hard to figure out. However, the micro level version of

One finger more than the scroll gesture … I’m not sure how you could do it differently. Requiring three fingers on the mouse would just be weird (I’m all for allowing three fingers additionally to two fingers, though!) and requiring just tw

I know! (I didn’t mention it because my comment was getting long enough already.) It seems if you can’t sell to the low end you absolutely need to show off your analog film chops in some way to be really taken seriously. Or at least you had

Nikon is a startup? The camera market is dominated by big companies. And not only that, many of those companies were actually also big film camera companies. Obviously there’s Nikon and Canon. Sony (which has been coming out with some wicke

Saving water doesn’t make sense at all in a great many places where (clean) water is abundant, population is stagnant and infrastructure already exists. In other words, in many places water supply is mostly all about fixed costs and trouble

Videos are still DRMd, as is all the Apple Music stuff (the new streaming service). So really, only music is DRM free and you can buy other stuff from Apple.

The point you are making is correct and well argued for. I also think I sucked at expressing myself and haven’t been very polite at all. I also think that this is a much better comment than your first one. I really think one should be very

Are you a doctor? Are you personally giving any individual advice here? That’s the issue. I have no issues with doctors giving someone advice – but that’s really not the point here.

Because this comment is a bad-faith derailment with no point to it. Something like that has to be pointed out. It’s also the typical shitty response overweight people tend to often get – people who are perfectly aware of their weight.

Why did you deem it necessary to even mention that? I’m quite certain that people with sleep apnoea for whom weight is a relevant component are quite aware of that. Yours is just a pointless diversion in this context – because what exactly

It’s not enough. You cannot just magically wish the world to change and hope everything will turn out alright. You actually have to put in the work. There may be systematic reasons at work that make sure everything is as fucked up as it cur

That is completely incorrect. They are right in the middle of revenue predictions. Slightly on the lower end, sure, but that does not qualify as missing by a mile. If you say missing by a mile I would expect at least one standard deviation.
