If it’s years it’s just human labor, obviously. It’s their way of implying that this mission will provide enough data to lead to interesting discoveries for years to come. Data on its own is useless, someone actually has to look at it and interpret it and pick out what’s interesting and what’s not and all that. Obviously in this forum everyone jumps to the technical explanation (slow data transmissions!) but that is exactly not it.
