Unfortunately we printed only the Italian version :( Sorry. It very impractical to print the English version from italy and sell it from here, and finding an US publisher was out of my abilities: I've zero contacts.

A big thank you, eliangcs. The errors were minimal, you did an awesome research work, and identified, I believe, the truly important things that step by step lead to the creation of my programming background and Redis. Another comment here

Thank you so much, both for using Redis and for trying reading Wohpe. I never saw a sample of the print on demand version of the English translation of Wohpe. I hope they print it properly. With the Italian version, we tried hard to provide

Thank you so much for this comment! Exactly, the chat was mostly a validation thing. And I remember that even back then we had identified an idea that went into the Twitter fork of Redis very soon (implemented by Yao maybe?), and later into

Thank you to the author of this post, and to the nice comments here :) The story is well researched. There are a couple of errors and a few things to add maybe. I'll fill the gaps in this comment. 1. After the TI99/4A, that is ind

Unfortunately with LoRa a more sophisticated approach is not possible (for the way the RF protocol itself works). When you transmit in a given spreading, anyway you are distrupting the current communications. The maxium you can do is listen

Another instance of higher level language mixed with low level programming that I found quite refreshing is MicroPython on modern MCUs. Lately I had to develop a driver for a LoRa chip, and it was quite a good experience to interactively co

Eating well is important, but in Sicily we have a huge weight problem now while eating tons of vegetables and so forth. If you eat too much, you eat too much.

Wow, what a set of terrible handwaving advices that will produce zero results. Here is the proper list: 1. The only way to lose weight is to eat at a calories deficit. Calculate the number of calories you need using this app/site/

Please, don't think Italians are like that. It's just this stupid government. For instance in Italian, unlike Spanish, French, ..., there are no italianized words for all the computer science words, we just use English. In general

I don't think you understood me. I'm with you, but given that often OpenAI is accused of using public ideas for profit, this, in turn, means they are obviously not in a dominant position. So far they are just better than the other

I believe you can't, at the same time, accuse OpenAI of benefitting of ideas mostly invented elsewhere, and also claim that they are in a predominant position. It does not make any sense, and they are not naturally positioned for a mon

Both arguments are wrong, in my opinion. 1. Artists getting inspiration from all the other works (payed by others) also don't ask any permission. If you want to create a game with a monster heavily inspired to Alines move monsters, you

As an alternative to C and now Rust, after developing for about a month, every day, a moderately large ESP32 project with MicroPython, I feel like suggesting it for most projects. I even wrote the driver of a chip connected to my devices (t

The limits you are referring are not proper of C, but mostly of its standard library. Any long term C programmer has libraries, written by herself or by others, that will limit this problem a lot . An example, starting from your own exampl
