One is a cultural matter: A design idea that no longer actively attempts to produce a language with few orthogonal features that work well together. The second is a side-effect: the more features you have in a language, the more complex new

I have a similar issue. I like the memory safety in Rust, but I don't like Rust: it limits my productivity for two reasons. 1. In order to reach memory safety it add abstractions that don't make programming simpler, but harder. 2.

Warning: CO2 is not always correlated with other kind of pollution. I live in Sicily where air quality is good, the climate is warm so we always have open windows. My Aranet tells me that in my office CO2 is around 500. However I've th

C required the simplest form of OOP, but who standardizes it decided to deny the feature to the language: the ability to have callable structure methods (function pointers) with explicit "self" pointer. Not even constructors/

Hi! My purchase story was atypical: I saw the device, hit the official store, saw it available and just got it. Then I discovered I casually clicked in the exact right moment... No idea about their supply chain.

Maybe the commenter was just sarcastic? My 10yo daughter always tells me: when you like something, you remark it so much, dad. I just think it is important to celebrate other people accomplishments: it has good effects on the world.

A different take on the matter: I write code mainly artistically, and I found that C is one of the best languages available to code as a form of art. It allows to be both brutal and honest, or abstract and deceiving. Not many languages are
